Changes to House |
I have removed the carpet from
upstairs and had hardwood floors installed. I also
had porcelain tile installed in the upstairs
bathroom, and the kitchen and laundry room
downstairs. |

Memory
|
Nothing in particular. I just
enjoy this house all the time. |

Other Information |
It was built in 1923 by Justin
Matthews in the Park Hill District of North Little
Rock. It may have been a model home for a new
addition of Park Hill. After it was built, the Great
Depression came, and no other houses were built for
a long time. As of 1944, according to a fire
department map, it was still the only house in this
area. It was a cottage in the woods! The style is
said to be "English Revival". |

Tell us about your historic home or the house you
grew up in. Why do we collect these stories? Every day people are buying
old homes and asking what the history of the house is or are doing a
property history search so they can add faces to the history of their
home. Who knows, maybe you are one of them. So while you are looking up
your own home you currently live in, be sure to tell others about the
old house you grew up in. | |
